I saw Mother Nature smile.
I thought she smiled at me.
I’m sure she smiled at everyone,
but I took it personally.
The sky was blue.
The sun shone bright,
dissolving shadows of the night.
And I stepped forth
with confidence,
feeling that my life
made sense.
