Thank god it’s Friday.
It’s good. It’s great. It’s grand.
Why some people say it’s black
is hard to understand.
It has to do with history,
tales of days gone by.
They say it was this Friday
that Jesus had to die.
Although the clouds of history
may hide the sun from sight,
the thought of Jesus in our hearts
will keep us shining bright.
