They say that I’m too pickie.
They’re talking ‘bout my bent
to pass hours at the landfill.
I’m not ready to repent.
I say when we’re reusing
the junk that others leave
there are multiple objectives
that we find that we achieve.
First off the reused gadjet
is far closer to being made,
and affords resuscitation
with minimal first aid.
And then there is the factor
that a rivet or a splice,
can often solve a problem
for a minimum of price.
As well, those who pay the bill,
to throw the stuff away,
Are pleased when they discover,
that there is less to pay.
And last if we are thinking,
of the health of our dear earth,
responsible disposal,
has an infinitude of worth.
So don’t listen to the comments
of the local epicures,
take pride in all the time you spend,
being a dumpicure.
